Charlie Levin - Single Point Perspective: A Meditation on Race, Loss, Grief, and The Other

An illuminated painting in wax on glass is created in response to an elegiac text read aloud by the audience, blending interviews and Twitter feeds with original reflections on perspective, race, conflict, and loss. In this intimate performance, experience how both truth and art are created — by many perspectives together.

Embark Gallery - Enact

Performing and visual artists Minoosh Zomorodinia, Christopher Squier, Lorenzo Cardim and Marissa Katarina Bergmann address issues from the human response to natural disaster and our relationship with historical architecture. A performance in three acts that takes place throughout the spaces of Fort Mason’s Firehouse venue.

Kinetech Arts - Elements of Others

Join Kinetech Arts for its latest work Elements of Others, an exploration of human identity in a world of Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality. Taking inspiration from the Dadaist movement, Kinetech Arts uses randomness to determine the order of events, creating montage with dance, manifestos, interactive technologies, poetry and live music.

La Pocha Nostra - Oakland vs. San Francisco

Oakland vs San Francisco is the first of an ongoing series of performative events featuring a multigenerational selection of performance artists, spoken word poets, dancers and comedians from San Francisco and Oakland. The event features artists from both sides of the Bay & playfully addresses problematic stereotypes, demonizing mythologies, and troubling assumptions about the two cities.

Melorra Green, Multiple Artists - Together

Two nights of live music and painting. Thursday will be hosted by DJ Sake One with music from VNote Ensemble and Valrie Troutt & Moon Candy. Live painting throughout the evening by Malik Seneferu. Friday will be hosted by Seti X with music by Antique Naked Soul and Zena Carlota. DJ Sake One will play between sets and live painting throughout the evening will be by SafetyFirst.

Nathalie Brilliant - Moving Meditations

An audience engagement work involving guided movement exercises influenced by Anna Halprin, Butoh and Eastern Philosophies. The exercises bring awareness and connection to the body, enabling presence in the mind in correlation with he body. The participants will then explore different ways of moving, shaping their bodies to the objects presented, and to each other. Non-verbal movement will be explored allowing for new connections between bodies and space to manifest.

Rosalyn Acosta - At War With Language

In celebration of the 100th Anniversary of Dada 'At War With Language' underscores Dada's relevance today through it’s response to the political mayhem of war. This performance is presented as part of Global Art Project's (GAP) participation in Dada Here & Now.
