Erica Essner Performance Co-Op’s new work 3 Marks of Existence is a duet that reflects on the Buddhist doctrine that everything is impermanent. This poignant duet reflects on the nature of change and all that we cling to eventually dissolves, and rests in the temporary. This project has been created in collaboration with EECOP veteran performers Josh Palmer and Courtney Drasner. Following the performance EECOP will present a Dance Intersection dialogue Q & A.
ARTIST BIOErica Essner Performance Co-Op presents artistic and educational opportunities for audiences of all ages as part of Dance Intersection. The Dance Intersection model is a way of engaging audiences with the Erica Essner Performance Co-Op in an effort to create dialogue around dance creation. In the Dance Intersection, EECOP has built a network of community partners (museums community spaces, educational institutions, and performance venues in which dance intersects with many aspects of people’s lives. We present performance forums, family workshops and open rehearsals as part ofDance Intersection.
The Erica Essner Performance Co-Op provides subsidized dance residencies titled Exploration in Choreography for predominately low-income students grades (Pre-K-12) in the New York City Public School system.
