A site-specific meditation on opposing forces: coming and going, ebb and flow, boom and bust, fire and water. Using material culled through collaborative work and play, HATCHlings will spontaneously create a progressive suite of genre-defying performances in and around the Fort Mason Firehouse at the edge of San Francisco Bay.

HATCH is a multi-disciplinary collective of artists dedicated to creating more space for original performance in a collaborative, non-hierarchical mode. With backgrounds spanning traditional theatre and dance, improvisation, ensemble and devised performance, music, video, and installation art, we support each other’s work by producing performance events and holding laboratory-style work sessions. HATCH produced The Hatch Festival of Devised Performance at Joe Goode Annex in 2014; Hatch Resides Here, a collection of performances and installations created for the home; Duo Solo, a mini-festival of solo performance presented at PianoFight; and No There There, an annual one-day-only site-specific performance suite.
