Keep in mind, the above are just sample letters.
It is encouraged (in fact highly advisable) to write your own letter that makes the same (or similar) points. Also keep in mind that these letters can be modified to send to elected officials and government administrators in other locales.
It is usually best to send the letter in two formats. Cut and paste the text into a document with your organizational letterhead. Sign the letter, create a PDF and attach it to the email. Then also cut and paste the text of the letter into the body of the email.
If you REALLY want to blow their minds, you can also print a copy of the letter and send it in the mail.
