Production Details

Tree of Dreams
Tree of Dreams is an immersive exploration of fear, resilience, and self-discovery, where music, storytelling, live camera work, and object storytelling converge in a breathtaking theatrical experience. The show takes audiences on a journey through the inner landscape of a child, confronting the tension between dreams and reality, growth and fear.

Through a unique blend of acoustic music, live projections, and dynamic interactions with symbolic characters—such as wise ants, a mysterious bee, and a massive underwater creature—Tree of Dreams invites audiences to navigate the paths we all must take to overcome fear, navigate trauma, and step towards hope and possibility.

The performance’s combination of live camera work, object storytelling, and visual projections creates a multi-layered experience, immersing the audience in the child’s journey and encouraging reflection on their own dreams, fears, and the stories that shape their identity. Recommended for ages 12 and up.

At the 2023 Milan Fringe Festival, it was named runner-up for "Show of the Festival." His most recent theatrical work, Bob Marley: How Reggae Changed the World, earned a 5-star review from Broadway Baby and was a sell-out show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2024.

Connor Lifson

He creates object-based performances, multimedia productions blending the stage and screen, and site-specific, immersive experiences. He is a co-founder of Tide & Foam.

Sid Zhang
Sid Zhang is a director, dancer, and poet from Nanjing, China and currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area. She searches for space between words and their silence and creates visual poetry out of interdisciplinary, movement-based performances.

Andrew Shozo Okada

Andrew Shozo Okada is an accomplished filmmaker, director, and writer known for his blend of technical precision and theatrical creativity. He and his creative partner began collaborating while earning their film degrees, eventually co-founding the sketch comedy group Swamp Baby, producing live shows around Los Angeles. With a background in film, Shozo’s work often blends experimental, genre-bending techniques to create engaging, immersive experiences.
