Directions, Public Transport & Parking

Thanks for coming to visit us. Most of our programs, including The San Francisco International Arts Festival, The Last Supper Party and Women in Jazz & World Music take place in San Francisco's legendary and historic Mission District. Listed below are the transportation options, parking garages and venues with links to maps and public transport suggestions.

And, despite all that talk about 48 Hills, the Mission is one of San Francisco's flatter neighborhoods (except for the Bernal Heights bit) and walking and cycling are also encouraged.

• BART  train... Expansive train network connecting San Francisco to the Peninsula, Oakland, Berkeley, Fremont, Walnut Creek and other East Bay cities. The Mission has two BART Stations -- 16th and 24th Streets and connects to: Northern and East Bay Transit
  • Plan your trip by reviewing routes and schedules on the official BART website.
  • Find out about Free Parking at 35 BART Stations. Parking is free after 3:00pm weekdays and all day on weekends.
  • Note: No Free Parking at Milpitas or Berryessa Stations.
    
    
• MUNI  bus... Extensive bus system with frequent carriers and connections within the city of San Francisco.

• Caltrain rail/shuttle...General rail service across San Francisco, Peninsula, through the South Bay and San Jose. (Southern, south bay transit)
