March 11, 2024 San Francisco: San Francisco International Arts Festival (SFIAF) is pleased to announce that the organization will present the World Premiere of Wetside of the Lake, performed and devised by the members of Kismet Art Tangent, an artist ensemble from the US.
A multidisciplinary, immersive theatre experience that explores surrender, trust, and the power of dreams through rituals inspired by meditation, butoh, and somatic practices. Characters with mysterious intentions invite the audience into a state of awe and transformation, challenging societal norms and fostering deeper connections.

Characters with mysterious intentions invite the audience into a state of awe and transformation, challenging societal norms and fostering deeper connections. The ensemble, with diverse backgrounds, collaborates using inclusive approaches to devise performances that push artistic boundaries.
Kismet Arts Tangent
Kismet Arts Tangent, formerly known as Andomifevin, emerged after the success of "Potato Topos" at the SF Fringe Festival in 2022. Established in 2017, the ensemble comprises diverse co-artists committed to creating experimental performance art in the East Bay Arts Scene and beyond. Using authentic movement, they focus on trust, autonomy, and openness in their collaborative processes. The group has presented solo exhibitions like "Protobotany" and participated in group exhibitions, earning accolades such as the "Best of Fringe" award in 2022. Kismet Arts Tangent continuously pushes artistic boundaries, offering transformative experiences to audiences.
Artist Biographies
Katarina Countiss
Katarina is a multimedia artist, project director and teacher. She blends studies in communication and graphic design with hosting immersive community events. Katarina places great importance on documentation and reflection, contributing to a large body of videos and social media.
Fenner Merlick
Fenner is an adventure artist based on Ohlone land and completed Dell’ Arte Internationals Performer Training Program. In addition to performing, directing plays and biking across the USA, Fenner collaborates with diverse ensembles including FoolsFURY, Ragged Wing Ensemble and many more, receiving awards for their contributions.
Dominique Nigro
Dominique is a performer and improvised movement artist. She is a graduate of the San Francisco State University School of Music and Dance. Dominique has been active in the Bay Area dance/theater community for 15 years and draws inspiration from authentic movement practices including Anna Halprin’s Tamalpa Life/Art Process.
Andrew Rose
Andrew is a performer and poet specializing in authentic movement. He is currently studying at San Francisco State University with a focus on cultural and communication studies. Andrew has recently performed in a number of films that illustrate his versatile talents.
Annikah Peabody
Annikah is a budding multidisciplinary artist based in Oakland. She creates immersive art experiences at the crossroads of performance and visual art. Known for her performances and collaborations on diverse platforms, Annikah produces shows, explores various artistic mediums and endeavors to add her unique touch to the Bay Area arts scene.
