Artist Biographies

Shelli Frew

Shelli Frew is an award winning playwright, performer, costumer, and author in San Francisco. Originally from Virginia, she moved to the Bay Area to study contortion under the tutelage of the world renowned contortionist Serchmaa Byamba. She got into immersive theater and writing on a whim, originally through the Rathskeller Club, an off-shoot of the Latitude Society. She has performed in immersive/interactive shows and events for Epic Immersive, Netflix's Stranger Things, Paradox's Bloodlines Vampire the Masquerade, and Speakeasy SF. She started Mystic Ventures Collective to bring about more queer art to the world and has so far produced half a dozen unique shows. She currently works as a contortion teacher at Circus Center and a costumer at Dear San Francisco, a long running show by Seven Fingers.

Sailor Galaviz

Sailor Galaviz (she/they) is a San Francisco-based trans-femme genderqueer writer, theater artist, filmmaker, drag performer, and activist, with a background managing several theater companies and nonprofit arts and culture organizations. D'Arcy Drollinger). As their drag alter ego Piranha Psychotronica, she is one part of Media Meltdown, a performance collective and event production team. You can see them most regularly at their monthly film series at the 4 Star Theater entitled Media Meltdown Movie Madhouse, a celebration of gonzo filmmaking.
