Work Sample
Pelikula is the company's new work to be presented as part of the 2020 San Francisco International Arts Festival. The performance will take place at the Fort Mason Firehouse. Viewers are immersed upon their entrance into the performance space, as performers create the narrative of a filipino telenovela and immerses the audience within the performance through the use of projection, sound and live performance.

STEAMROLLER Dance Company/Jesselito BieIn 1993, a group of artists came together to create performances to address HIV/AIDS to marginalized communities. Under the direction of Jesselito Bie. STEAMROLLER has presented work in the 1997 Bay Area Dance Festival, the 1996-2000 In the Street Festivals, the 1996-2001 San Francisco Lesbian and Gay Dance Festivals, Asian American Dance Performances, Highways Performance Space in Santa Monica, the 2017 and 2019 Summer Performance Festivals and the 2007 and 2018 San Francisco Trolley Dances.
BiographiesJesselito Bie (Artistic Director/Choreographer)
Jesselito Bie began dancing professionally in 1992 with the High Risk Group and has since performed with many local companies such as Scott Wells, Kulintang Arts and Erika Shuch. Jesselito is the Artistic Director of STEAMROLLER Dance Company. He has received awards from the SF Bay Guardian, 360 Award from CSUEB and Best Male Solo from Bay Area Dance Watch. In 2019 he was selected to participate in The Feedback with Joe Goode as well as the CHIME residence program with Margaret Jenkins. He is in residence at SAFEhouse Arts as well directs AIRspace, the organization’s QTPOC residency program.
