Production Details
Echoing the Voice of "Woman, Life, Freedom" Movement in IranAn all-female choir accompanied by violin and piano will perform different composition titles, including Gysooye Dar Baad, Sahar Khizaan, Atash Savaar, Reishe Dar Khaak, and Navaye Azadi. The concert will be comprised of contemporary poems structured by classical/traditional songs in Persian/Farsi (translated to English) that speak to issues of women’s rights and democracy in Iran. Funds raised from the concert will be allocated to activities that support “Woman, Life, Freedom” Movement in Iran.
Navaye Azadi (Voice of Freedom) EnsembleEstablished in 2022, Navaye Azadi (Voice of Freedom) Ensemble brings together a group of activist musicians, singers, and actors, who support “Woman, Life, Freedom” movement in Iran. The Ensemble’s mission is to embody a creative meaningful contribution to society and to pursue a long-term commitment to social justice, by preforming musical/theatrical pieces.
